Job Description:
Duties: Evaluate novel therapies in the field of cancer
immunology. Work closely with discovery scientists to advance research-stage
programs into early clinical development, providing both scientific and
technical expertise including: develop novel functional assays to
support discovery project development. MoA (mechanism of action) studies
to better understand target and therapeutic biology. Explore
combinatorial strategies to support identification of companion diagnostics.
Make use of multiple assays including: multi-parameter flow cytometry,
FACS (fluorescence-activated cell sorting), ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay), qPCR as well as cytotoxicity, cytokine
release, and proliferation readouts. Undertake daily literature searches
to help expand knowledge surrounding target biology. Present scientific
data as well as articles of interest to the group. PBMC purification
from human and non-human primate blood (NHP), as well as lymphocyte
magnetic bead- based lymphocyte enrichment. Requirements: Master's degree in immunology, oncology, biology
or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)
plus three (3) years as a research associate with assay
development experience for drug discovery. Must possess demonstrated expertise in: •Assay development for cell-based systems; •Cell culture of mammalian cell lines as well as multiple
