Job Description:

Duties: Participate in a variety of project scales, including large

scale land planning, urban districts and downtown revitalization, new

community planning, institutional and campus site planning, and other

landscape architectural projects. Analyze physical site features and

environmental/ecological factors. Analyze existing conditions and known

planning initiatives and regulations for opportunities and constraints.

Analyze site development capacity and limitations and translate

development program into detailed land use and site plans. Prepare

illustrative conceptual and schematic design plans and full documents

sets, including grading, layout, paving, planting, lighting, drainage,

irrigation plans, and associated construction details. Integrate

innovative sustainable design strategies and construction methods into

project work at the planning and site design levels. Assess locally

available and locally sourced materials for landscape projects,

including native plant species, and assess commercial availability for

both domestic and international projects. Research construction

methodology and materials palettes based on local conditions.

Requirements: Master's degree in Landscape Architecture or other

relevant fields or related field (willing to accept foreign education

equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience performing landscape

architecture in a multi-disciplinary environment or, alternatively, a

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience as stated above. Must have

expertise in the following: performing all phases of landscape

architecture, including design and construction documentation;

coordinating with local consultants and analyzing site conditions;

performing master planning and land planning activities; creating

documents and administering design presentations for public and private

sector clients to gain community consensus; and using AutoCAD, SketchUp,

3D Studio Max, Rhinocerous, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
