Lead Knowledge Analyst - Customer Analytics (The Boston
Consulting Group - Boston, Massachusetts): Deliver value to BCG clients by focusing
on the customer analytics component of a consulting engagement and
providing powerful, analytics-based insights, quantitative methods,
predictive modeling, and visualizations designed to help our clients tackle
their most pressing business problems as they relate to customer behavior.
Specific duties include: partner with BCG consulting teams to provide
support across the full analytics value-chain including framing new business
challenges, building fact-bases, designing innovative analytics workflows,
training colleagues on new analytical methods, and interpreting findings
through predictive modeling; perform sophisticated data mining, data
analysis, predictive analytics, and statistical programming; use various
technical tools and quantitative methods to scope a project’s knowledge
needs, conceptualize metrics for analysis, deliver comprehensive and
customized knowledge for client work, and capture and codify knowledge
content; support the analytics platforms and data sets, develop business
analytics tools and processes, develop business analytics trainings for
Team members and BCG consulting case teams, and participate in knowledge
infrastructure projects; and stay current on leading-edge analytical tools and
proactively working with the Team to build an offering that delivers
competitive advancement to BCG. Requires a Master’s degree in Engineering,
Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, a related field, or a
foreign degree equivalent plus three years of experience as a
statistician or analyst which must include at least one year of experience
applying advanced statistical methods to large data sets to resolve
business issues within either a large management consulting firm or a
specialized analytics consultancy. In lieu of Master’s degree and three years of
experience as listed above, BCG will accept a Bachelor’s degree in
Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, a related
field, or a foreign degree equivalent plus five years of progressive
experience as a statistician or analyst which must include at least one year of
experience applying advanced statistical methods to large data sets to
resolve business issues within either a large management consulting firm
or a specialized analytics consultancy. Also requires demonstrated
ability to: (i) develop customized queries and conduct extensive data
extraction and evaluation on large datasets; (ii) design linear regression and
forecasting models and perform cluster analysis, factor analysis, and CHAID
using SAS; (iii) build predictive models via logistic regression and other
techniques using SAS; (iv) and generate actionable insights regarding the
acquisition, maintenance, and retention of customers from CRM data. Must
have unrestricted authorization to work in U.S. M-F, 9:00 a.m. to
