Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
testing software; designing and implementing automated tests and
procedures to qualify MathWorks licensing and activation
applications and integrations; performing automated and manual
testing of web services, applications and APIs; designing and
developing test plans based upon functional and design
specifications; creating and maintaining automated test suites and
participating in functional, system and regression testing
activities; analyzing and reporting bugs, and working to resolve
them; and participating in all aspects of product development and
design. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and no
experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and five (5)
years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience
in design, development and testing of Java- and JavaScript-based
web applications. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise developing or testing web applications
using Java, JavaScript, and Spring-based frameworks; applying
design patterns in Java development; and integrating Java codebase
with SQL databases. Demonstrated expertise testing multiple layers of web
applications -- RESTful web services, API and UI -- using JUnit and
Selenium testing frameworks; and applying unit and system level
testing methodologies to web UIs using JavaScript-based
frameworks. Demonstrated expertise using Maven for build automation; and
using Perforce or Git to maintain code within a continuous
integration environment. Demonstrated expertise designing test metrics based on business
requirements; using QC and JIRA for bug reporting following Agile
SCRUM methodologies; and in the full software development life
cycle (SDLC), including requirement analysis, design,
