Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software; designing, deploying, maintaining, and
supporting cloud solutions across private and public
infrastructure; supporting MathWorks automated infrastructure
environment; advancing infrastructure automation of the DevOps
environment; promoting adoption of infrastructure as code; creating
and delivering highly technical knowledge-sharing presentations and
documentation to both technical and non-technical audiences; using
cloud and virtualization technologies, including VMWare and
OpenStack; and acting as a technical lead for complex software
automation projects, including advocating for solutions across
organizational boundaries, setting direction and strategy for the
team and its products and services, and mentoring technical
peers. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology and four
(4) years of experience in job offered or four (4) years of
experience in architectural design of cloud platform and virtual
infrastructure. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Technology and six
(6) years of experience in job offered or six (6) years of
experience in architectural design of cloud platform and virtual
infrastructure. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise designing and implementing enterprise
cloud platform using VMWare and OpenStack, network virtualization
using VMware NSX, and storage solutions using VMware vSAN and
vRealize Automation. Demonstrated expertise building distributed web services using
cloud based platforms -- Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google
Cloud; performing containerization using Docker and Runc, and
orchestration using Kubernetes; and applying cloud computing
concepts to develop massively scalable and parallel systems. Demonstrated expertise performing logical network design
following virtual and physical network topology; and building and
analyzing physical network design. Demonstrated expertise performing cloud infrastructure
automation through DevOps scripting using Perl or Python and
