Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
testing software; designing and implementing cutting edge tools to
develop, research, and test numerically efficient solutions
deployed on embedded systems, including robotic systems, automotive
and aerospace technology, and critical medical equipment; defining,
designing, applying, and testing features that support
customer-focused workflows; taking ownership of feature testing by
authoring tools, harnesses and writing automated test suites;
producing high-quality code that is correct, robust, efficient, and
easy to maintain and extend; participating in, and contributing to,
design reviews, code reviews, and project planning; developing,
maintaining, and monitoring metrics that help evaluate feature
quality; communicating quality reports to team members and other
relevant teams; writing algorithms in MATLAB and Simulink; using
data structures, mathematical models, and simulation technologies;
and diagnosing and reporting software defects. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering and two (2) years of experience in job offered or two
(2) years of experience in development and testing of control-based
and optimization-based software. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering and six (6) years of experience in job offered or six
(6) years of experience in development and testing of control-based
and optimization-based software. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB and Simulink. Demonstrated expertise applying control theory to implement
MATLAB and Simulink algorithms within physical engineering
systems. Demonstrated expertise applying numerical methods and dynamical
system theory to model control algorithms and implement Simulink
semantics within a real time operating system. Demonstrated expertise in implementation and testing of
numerically efficient optimization methods, including linear
programming, mixed-integer programming, and convex and non-convex
