Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
testing software; developing testing software for Simulink, the
industry leading Model-Based Design software; contributing to
feature design and delivery of MathWorks key technologies with a
focus on Simulink Solvers; participating in design reviews and code
reviews; creating test strategies and plans based on development
requirements; designing and implementing test infrastructure;
developing test tools and assets; designing, implementing and
executing automated and manual test cases, analyzing results,
reporting and tracking defects, verifying fixes, and performing
follow-up work to resolve issues; developing, tracking, and
reporting project level status and other performance metrics; and
leading cross-functional Software Quality efforts, driving quality
practices into MathWorks products throughout the lifecycle of a
project. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and no experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in
job offered or five (5) years of experience in design, testing, or
technical support of mathematical modeling and simulation
technologies. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB, Simulink and
Python, including object oriented design and analysis. Demonstrated expertise writing and debugging automated test
plans and cases in MATLAB and Simulink; and testing Simulink
functionalities. Demonstrated expertise performing parallel and cross browser,
cross-platform -- Windows, Linux, and Mac -- testing within an
Agile and test-driven development environment. Demonstrated expertise applying control theory and numerical
methods and dynamics to debug and model simulation software tools
