Job Description:
Working under the direction of Advanced Support Engineering
Manager 1, will be responsible for managing post-sales advanced technical
support activities towards customers who are using MathWorks' tools
for application development and deployment; working closely with
existing MathWorks customers to help deploy their enterprise-wide
desktop applications; working in a team environment with Sales,
Consulting, and Training organizations best suited for the customer; lending
advanced support activities for the software integration task relating
to application deployment; providing advanced technical post-sales
support and guidance on issues that are escalated from the technical
support group, related to the MathWorks major accounts, related to a
strategic Account, Application, or Industry, and requiring customer
application knowledge and integration challenges that the customer is
facing; communicating and working together with MathWorks Development
staff when inherent tool design knowledge is needed; facilitating source
code modifications and troubleshooting issues involving core design
aspects of the MathWorks tools; providing the highest customer support
level complimenting the existing and standard technical support;
working closely with, mentoring, and sometimes training existing support
specialists within the Engineering Development Group; integrating methods and
willingness to learn the current enterprise practices; and providing direct
customer feedback to MathWorks development for future enhancements to the
MATLAB Compiler, Builders, and future product possibilities. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Control Systems and five
(5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience
in development or technical support of MATLAB Compiler and MATLAB
Production Server. OR Master's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or Control Systems and one
(1) year of experience in job offered or one (1) year of experience in
development or technical support of MATLAB Compiler and MATLAB Production
Server. Special Requirements: *Demonstrated expertise in development, debugging or technical
support of MATLAB Compiler, Builder NE, Builder JA, Builder EX, and MATLAB
Production Server products for Windows, Linux and Mac. *Demonstrated expertise programming in C, C++, C#, Java, and
MATLAB languages and their associated development tools and
environments, including GCC, Visual Studio, JDK, and MATLAB. *Demonstrated expertise integrating MATLAB products into
customer workflows in the aerospace and/or automotive industry. [Expertise may be gained during Graduate program]. The MathWorks, Inc. is willing to accept a suitable combination
