Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for planning, implementing and ensuring proper
security measures for the protection of MathWorks sophisticated
software development; ensuring software/application security
throughout MathWorks development organization; enabling the
development organization to secure their products and services;
analyzing gaps in the security of MathWorks products and services
and working closely with the development teams to close them;
analyzing and helping to close gaps in security related processes
in development; working with MathWorks development university
organization to provide a framework for development teams to think
about product security; enhancing MathWorks Threat Modeling
technique and working with the development teams to bring those
processes to MathWorks development organization; engaging with the
developers in the team and helping to build the Security Foundation
libraries; educating, engaging, fostering and working with
MathWorks cross functional security teams, including Data security
and QE security, to implement, coordinate, and improve the security
of MathWorks products and services; and answering security related
questions that come up from both internal and external
customers. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and no experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in
job offered or five (5) years of experience performing
threat-modeling and analyzing software vulnerabilities. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise writing algorithms using MATLAB to
integrate with software tools to monitor the progress of externally
reported security issues and to provide KPIs and metrics. Demonstrated expertise designing and executing the process for a
vulnerability disclosure program; and communicating with customers
and researchers to understand vulnerabilities and evaluate the
impact of them in software product and services. Demonstrated expertise in the full software development life
cycle (SDLC) for security-related capabilities, including
requirements specification, functional and architectural design,
design review, and testing. Demonstrated expertise analyzing strengths and weaknesses of
encryption/decryption algorithms using industry best practices and
