Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
testing software; developing and testing the MATLAB Unit Testing
Framework product, enhancing its testability, developing automated
tests and conducting hands-on testing of its UI testing framework;
providing the best customer experience for both internal and
external customers; participating in design reviews for new
features in the Test Framework; creating test plans and test
procedures; developing automated regression tests to qualify new
features; performing exploratory testing to identify defects;
debugging and investigating failures; working with developers to
resolve issues; and reporting defects and verifying fixes. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and no experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in
job offered or five (5) years of experience developing test
automation frameworks and scripts using Java, JavaScript or
MATLAB. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise designing UI automation framework based
on xUnit test principles; and implementing UI automation tests
using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, QUnit, and JUnit. Demonstrated expertise designing and documenting test plans and
test strategies for web applications across MacOS, Linux, and
Windows platforms and Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari and Internet
Explorer browsers. Demonstrated expertise integrating and maintaining UI tests in
continuous integration (CI) services, including Jenkins or
Azure. Demonstrated expertise debugging tests using Chrome Developer
Tools and identifying and fixing root causes for sporadic and
