Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
testing software for MATLAB and Simulink; designing test strategy
and test procedures that meet research needs and industry
standards; developing automated test suites for MATLAB and Simulink
Report Generator toolboxes; implementing test infrastructure and
adding reliable automated tests in MATLAB and Simulink; assessing
and improving the quality of MATLAB and Simulink features that have
significant influence on materials science research; assessing the
software performance; reporting bugs, debugging issues and
qualifying bug fixes; creating testing tools and enhancing existing
ones; and participating in design reviews and code reviews. Education and Experience: Masters degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science and Engineering
and no experience. OR Bachelors degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science and Engineering
and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years
of experience performing test infrastructure development and
writing automated tests for MATLAB and Simulink-based
applications. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB and Simulink. Demonstrated expertise using mathematical methods to process
digital images and electrical signals from Simulink sources. Demonstrated expertise designing and testing Simulink
models. Demonstrated expertise applying statistical methods -- linear
and polynomial regression, hypothesis testing, and descriptive
