Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for contributing to the marketing and sales of
MathWorks' sophisticated software engineering products; designing
and developing sophisticated software product models and
simulations to demonstrate MathWorks Controls and Identification
product capabilities; developing technical engineering
demonstrations of MathWorks control systems products to support the
companys marketing activities; building data analytics integration
models and analytics systems to perform customer experience
analysis and analyze usage data to support data-driven marketing
decisions; gathering customer software requirements to inform
development and customization of MathWorks Control and
Identification products; working with MathWorks customers to
understand initial sets of requirements; evaluating and creating
proof-of-concepts; refining, communicating, and proposing a viable
all-encompassing real-time simulation and testing solution for a
given customer project; understanding customers engineering
language, absorbing highly technical material and concepts, and
clearly communicating verbally and in writing the solutions created
and proposed with MathWorks products; supporting the technical
aspect of the marketing process; working with prospective customers
to understand their workflow and provide recommendations on how
solutions from MathWorks can improve the results of customer
product development processes; delivering product evaluations for
prospective customers to prove the value of MathWorks products
within the constructs of a feasibility project; and preparing and
delivering technical presentations and demonstrations at both small
customer meetings and to larger audiences at public and private
events. Requires frequent travel and on short notice. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering (or foreign education equivalent)
and one (1) year of experience in job offered or one (1) year of
experience in technical support, engineering development or product
marketing of control systems. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB and Simulink. Demonstrated expertise developing control systems for
model-based design. Demonstrated expertise developing marketing and sales materials
for model-based design products; and developing and researching
proof-of-concepts for control systems product features. Demonstrated expertise developing technical content and training
materials on control systems and model-based design products for
