Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software; designing and developing MathWorks
Installation and Activation technology, integrating C++ with new
technologies; participating in multiple software development
projects from requirements gathering to design/architecture to
delivery; and improving quality of existing code base through
debugging, re-factoring and improving unit and system tests. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years
of experience in job offered or two (2) years of experience in
object-oriented programming in C++. OR Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in functional design, architecture
design, development, and unit testing high-performant code using
modern C++ and STL, including applying data structures and design
patterns; and in the full software development life cycle (SDLC)
within a quality control environment according to scrum-based Agile
methodologies. Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented programming using C++
to develop installation and update technologies; and writing and
designing software solutions using data structures, algorithms, and
object-oriented design patterns. Demonstrated expertise refactoring existing architecture and
developing new features using C++ microservice framework. Demonstrated expertise performing version control and continuous
integration, including analysis and implementation of branching
strategies, using Git or Perforce. [Experience and/or expertise may be gained during Doctoral
