Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software applications; modeling, simulating and
developing embedded systems using Simulink; performing complex
development to resolve escalated and advanced technical issues
related to Simulink; conducting technical discussions with
strategic MathWorks customers; improving Simulink family product
development including shaping requirements, providing usability
feedback and prototyping source code; leveraging user knowledge and
customer feedback to influence product direction; mentoring
engineers in their technical and career growth; investigating
product issues such as unexpected errors, crashes, and wrong
generated code that occur in the model-based design of embedded
systems products; debugging issues to identify root cause;
understanding customer workflows and use cases; and performing
complex development to provide long-term solutions. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise developing control algorithms using
model-based design. Demonstrated expertise modeling and simulating linear and
non-linear control systems including real world automotive
applications using MATLAB and Simulink; and performing
Hardware-in-Loop (HIL) testing, including performing control
prototyping, validation and verification, real-time testing using
rapid-prototyping tools. Demonstrated expertise programming in C/C++ and MATLAB, and
implementing model based design workflows and generating AUTOSAR
compliant production code used in automotive embedded systems. Demonstrated expertise engaging with MATLAB and Simulink end
users -- engineers and software developers -- to gather and assess
customer requirements, understand workflows, and define solutions
for customer needs; and interacting with development teams to
influence product direction and improve products by demonstrating
customers use cases and pain points, proposing solutions, or
