Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software; developing richly interactive diagram
editors in HTML and JavaScript; developing different diagram types
within MathWorks complex web platform; designing and developing
application tiers from interactive graphics to application
frameworks and data management; programming in JavaScript to
interface with MATLAB language and C++; performing complex software
development to connect the diagram editor framework to vector
graphics output for printing and hardcopy; enhancing the
cross-language bindings from C++ to MATLAB; improving MATLAB-based
diagram commands to support undo and redo commands; enabling
interactive line routing in JavaScript; consolidating auto-layout
algorithms; and providing trackpad and gesture support. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer
Science and Engineering, or a closely related field (or foreign
education equivalent) and no experience. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented design and
programming, including writing algorithms and applying design
patterns, using MATLAB, C++ or C#; and designing and developing
scalable web applications in JavaScript, HTML and CSS. Demonstrated expertise developing, debugging and refactoring
large JavaScript, CSS and HTML codebases (100K+ lines of code). Demonstrated expertise performing version control and continuous
integration; and in software configuration management and version
control system management including analysis and implementation of
branching strategies using Perforce or Git. Demonstrated expertise in the full software development life
cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, functional design,
architecture design, implementation, and testing of web
