System Object Quality Engineer

Job Description:

Working under the direction of Quality Engineering Manager 1, will be

responsible for developing test suites and conducting hands-on testing of

the System object functionality in the Signal Processing and Communication

Blocksets to support Streaming processing and code generation in MATLAB. As

a member of the development team, will participate in a project from its

early design stages and play a critical role in driving it to final product

release. Specific tasks will include: participation in feature design and

review; investigating ways to evolve existing testing tools and harness;

writing test suites using MATLAB and C++; implementing testing APIs in

MATLAB and C++; creating and executing the interactive test plans on

multiple platforms; and reporting bugs using an in-house bug tracking

system. As an individual contributor in the QE department, the candidate

will work closely with the Development and Usability teams.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Electrical

Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in job

offered or five (5) years experience in the development or technical

support of SPC and Communications systems.

OR

Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Electrical Engineering

or Computer Science and one (1) year of experience in job offered or one

(1) year experience in the development or technical support of SPC and

Communications systems.

Special Requirements:

•Demonstrated expertise testing System Objects test infrastructure, writing

test tools/harness using MATLAB OOP and performance tests for System

Objects and Simulink Block models.

•Demonstrated expertise testing generated C and C++ code using MATLAB for

System Objects.

•Demonstrated expertise developing automated fixed point and GUI testing.
