Job Description:

Will leverage technical and business acumen to provide development and

production support for Oracle database infrastructure. Will participate in

efforts to ensure platform stability and maximize performance. Will

partner with the Application Development team and business owners to

identify application and business needs. Will perform database and

application support in the areas of migration, cloning, backup, and

recovery. Will apply database expertise to identify and implement

improvement efforts related to the database platform. Will perform problem

resolution for complex issues, including root cause analysis and

identifying resolution options. Will create documentation and coordinate

script deployment with the Development and Enterprise Database

Administration team. Will provide full lifecycle support for complex

Oracle database and application environments. Will interface with the

Development team on database and application architecture and application

usage. Will provide off-hours support for critical production issues. Will

provide database and application support throughout all phases of “break-

fix,” including problem identification, resolution, testing, deployment,

and turnover. Will participate in database planning. Will provide

production database support 24/7 as part of the support organization.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer Science,

Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a

related field plus 5 years of experience with Oracle database and Oracle

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

OR, in the alternative:

Master’s degree (or equivalent foreign education) in Computer Science,

mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a

related field plus 3 years of experience with Oracle database and Oracle

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).

Special Requirements:

(1)Demonstrated expertise implementing and administering the Oracle E-biz

environment including the following functions: Workflow, Concurrent

Manager, Patching, Cloning, Notification mailer, SSO, SAML2.0,Oracle Access

Manager, and Weblogic;

(2)Demonstrated expertise implementing and administering the following

Oracle features and functions: RAC, ASM, Grid Control, Data Guard, Database

Tuning, and Flash Recovery;

(3)Demonstrated expertise performing Shell, Perl, and Java scripting on

Linux, HP UNIX, Solaris, and Windows operating systems; and,

(4)Demonstrated expertise working with a global team on multiple projects

and managing priorities in a 24/7 support organization.
