Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing, developing and testing
sophisticated software; developing software that drives model-based
design and code generation for todays sophisticated safety-critical
embedded systems; collecting, visualizing and analyzing large
datasets and developing software that solves problems ranging from
big data storage to data visualization to cloud-based applications;
designing, implementing and validating new features to support the
Model-Based Design workflow; working closely within the team and
with teams across the organization; and participating in all stages
of software design, coding, testing, and maintenance. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years
of experience in job offered or two (2) years of experience in
development, testing or technical support of Simulink-based
products. OR Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and SQL for
front-end programming, including performing UI application
development using JQuery or Dojo frameworks; developing web
application communication interfaces in human- and machine-readable
formats using JSON; and performing automated testing using MATLAB
and JavaScript. Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented design and analysis
using C++ or MATLAB, including analyzing, re-architecting and
implementing C++ or MATLAB code according to design patterns. Demonstrated expertise performing version control and continuous
integration; and in software configuration management and version
control system management including analysis and implementation of
branching strategies using Perforce, Git, or SVN. Demonstrated expertise in the full software development life
cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, functional design,
architecture design, implementation, and testing. [Experience and/or expertise may be gained during Graduate
