Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
software; developing software for the ROS (Robot Operating System)
Toolbox; integrating MATLAB and Simulink with ROS networks;
integrating with core product platforms; modeling message-based ROS
networks in Simulink; connecting to external ROS networks from
MATLAB and Simulink; generating C-code for ROS nodes using MATLAB
Coder and Embedded Coder; generating GPU-code for ROS nodes using
GPU Coder; developing MATLAB apps for decoding, viewing, and
analyzing rosbag data; developing practical robotics applications
from MATLAB and Simulink; and showcasing work internally and
externally for customers. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and two (2) years
of experience in job offered or two (2) years of experience in
development or testing of robotics applications. OR Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in object oriented programming in C/C++
and MATLAB; and developing UI applications using MATLAB. Demonstrated expertise writing and designing control algorithms
to test ROS integration with middleware systems; and creating and
integrating customized embedded Linux platforms. Demonstrated expertise developing algorithms with Simulink Coder
and Embedded Coder; using Simulink for code generation; and
modeling embedded systems in Simulink. Demonstrated expertise developing robotic systems using the
software development life cycle (SDLC) including requirements
gathering, design, development, and testing. [Experience and/or expertise may be gained during Graduate
