Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Manager or Senior Team Lead,
will be responsible for designing and developing sophisticated
software; developing tools for the next generation of
communications systems with a focus on artificial intelligence and
deep learning; extending MathWorks portfolio of AI for wireless
examples and building features that allow their application to
systems; designing, developing and delivering features that augment
existing software products; researching AI techniques to augment
and/or replace traditional PHY components; designing and developing
examples that highlight techniques and their merits; working with
product marketing and application engineers to understand customer
requirements, research technologies and build proposals for product
development; working with documentation and quality engineers to
detail and test designs; and building and showcasing examples and
demos at customer-facing events. Education and Experience: Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely
related field (or foreign education equivalent) and no
experience. Special Requirements: Demonstrated expertise in object oriented design and analysis
using MATLAB including analyzing, re-architecting and refactoring
legacy code base. Demonstrated expertise developing, testing or implementing
algorithms in MATLAB for PHY layers of wireless communications
systems using AI and non-AI techniques. Demonstrated expertise in development, testing or technical
support of APIs with software defined radios -- ADALM Pluto, USRP,
and XILINX Zynq-based radios. Demonstrated expertise in the full software development life
cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, functional design,
