Job Description:

Analyze market conditions to identify, stage, and drive features that

enhance a product’s ROI for both PTC and its customers. Collaborate with

PTC customers, Partners, Strategic Marketing, and other stakeholders to

guide new product development activities in a manner that provides unique

benefits and superior value to customers and users. Serve as an advisor to

management, customers, and colleagues concerning technical and business

issues and as an organization spokesperson on specialized projects.

Champion medium-sized projects that affect the organization’s goals and

objectives and partner with Specialists, Managers, Directors, Vice

Presidents, and Senior Vice Presidents to achieve goals. Establish and

maintain a backlog for one or more product areas and review, adjust, and

prioritize the backlog as required throughout the development process.

Utilize PTC's Change Management process to adjust the baseline.

Participate in the testing of new software to ensure requirements

(Acceptance Criteria) are met and report and ensure resolution for any

exceptions. Participate in Scrum team activities, including planning,

reviews, and retrospectives. Assist in Software Problem Report (SPR)

triage, consult with Development, Quality Assurance (QA) other Product

Managers, Services, and account teams to advise on SPR priorities. Support

QA with the development of testing strategies by responding to questions on

the expected usage of capabilities. Review product documentation and

provide support for User Experience (UX) initiatives and activities.

Discover and validate market problems by working with existing and

prospective customers. Engage with Planet PTC Technical Committees and

special interest groups to assess customer requirements and present PTC’s

current point of view on topics of customer interest. Assist in defining

objectives for Lighthouse and BETA testing programs. Develop, deliver, and

support Application Engineering, Sales, Global Services, and PTC University

training and provide a technical perspective on acquisition targets. Assist

process and practices experts in the definition of PTC's point of view on

business processes or practices.

Education & Experience Requirements: Master's degree in computer science,

engineering, marketing or related field (willing to accept foreign

education equivalent) plus 3 years of experience developing mechanical

computer-aided design and product lifecycle management-based solutions. In

the alternative, the employer is willing to accept a Bachelor's degree and

5 years of experience as noted above.

Also requires: 1) Demonstrated expertise leveraging mechanical CAD tools in

manufacturing and service environments, including 3 of the following tools:

Arbortext, Creo, CATIA, or Windchill; 2) Demonstrated expertise with both

product management and project management in an IT setting; 3) Demonstrated

expertise with technical marketing, technical sales, or technical support

at a commercial software company; and 4) Demonstrated expertise managing

large, complex PLM projects involving interdisciplinary teams.
