Job Description:
IT HR Platform Transformation Data Engineering Architect (The
Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - Boston, Massachusetts): Serve as
the technology data expert to own the delivery aspects of program
design through implementation. Specific duties include: partner
with HR transformation team to provide delivery and support for all
data engineering challenges related to SaaS data models; provide
overall data engineering, architecture and delivery with
integrations, interfaces and data design for multiple data sources
and data tenants; provide delivery and design expertise around data
security design at both an enterprise and function layer for data
architecture and SaaS integrations; drive modernization concepts
for rationalizing data and integrations for both new and legacy
systems; design, construct, install, test and maintain highly
scalable data artifacts; integrate new data models and software
engineering tools into existing structures; drive the communication
and instruction for data domains, relational databases and data
rendering; partner with external vendors, including but not limited
to systems integrators, architecture, and development engineering
staff; collaborate with engineering teams (product engineers,
developers, architects) to support transformation of the HR
function and functional transformation teams from the data
perspective; partner with our master data management (MDM) shared
service on all data facets surrounding HR integrations and
mappings; and design the it target data architecture through
application rationalization and modernization concepts. Requires a
Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering,
computer information systems or related field (willing to accept
foreign education equivalent) plus five (5) years of experience
driving global process and system transformation and modernization
initiatives or, alternatively, a master's degree in computer
science, software engineering, computer information systems or
related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and
three (3) years of experience driving global process and system
transformation and modernization initiatives. Specific skills/other
requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative
experience requirements not applicable to this section): working
with large-scale, global transformation leadership such as HR
transformations, ERP roll-outs, or Cloud/SaaS solutions; working
for a complex global professional services organization; driving
technical delivery that aligns to business cases investments;
working with Workday Data models and configuration models;
experience with Data modeling tools such as: Oracle Data modeler,
Erwin, or Toad Data modeler; experience with one or more ETL tools
such as Informatica or Talend; working on the following databases
Oracle, Snowflake, SQL server, Database Translation design, and one
or more Master Data management productivity tools; working with new
generation reporting tools such as Tableau or Gliksense; applying
Data Performance and Optimization techniques; applying IT
infrastructure library (ITIL) and IT Service management (ITSM)
principles; and experience with IT Modernization and Application
Rationalization. M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 45+ hours per week.
