Job Description:
Knowledge Expert (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - Boston,
MA): Work in a growing global team within BCGs Corporate Finance &
Strategy Practice Area to provide functional expertise and insights
to clients and case teams. Specific duties include: work with case
and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis and expert
advisory; collaborate with business leaders to provide advice and
client-credible insight for proposals, client work-shops, and
commercial campaigns in the Growth & Innovation domain; drive
development of intellectual property, go to market materials, and
publications for the Growth & Innovation; manage and develop a
Knowledge Team to deliver against business priorities and be
accountable for the teams KPIs on billability, work quality, and
topic/sector content development; and collaborate with global topic
leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities
to the service of our internal and external clients. Requires a
Bachelors degree in business administration, economics, finance or
related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus
five (5) years of consulting experience providing market research
and analysis supporting innovation and strategy. Specific
skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following
(quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this
section): applying key innovation topics, including innovation
maturity diagnostic, innovation strategy design, R&D stage
gates process, IP commercialization strategy, business model
innovation archetypes, corporate venture capital operating models,
and innovation enablement software platforms; applying key growth
topics, including vitality assessment, go-to-market strategies,
demand centric growth, geographic expansion, digital growth,
M&A-led growth, and portfolio strategies; building complex and
rigorous Excel models to produce industry or company-specific
insights in relation to innovation topics; producing client-ready
deliverables to present in client facing settings; designing and
executing surveys aimed at innovation maturity assessment at client
organizations; working with the Verint survey platform; working
with business intelligence or data analytic tools (e.g. SPSS, SAS,
Alteryx, MATLAB, or Tableau); developing, maintaining and owning
proprietary suite of tools and databases, such as those related to
innovation maturity; leading development and commercialization of
knowledge and assets e.g. tools, sector/topic materials in the
Growth & Innovation topic; driving knowledge agenda within the
broader Corporate Finance & Strategy topic areas; and managing key
stakeholders and commercial pipelines and mobilizing team to
deliver on business priorities and commercial impact. Position
requires travel (up to 20%) depending on company/client need. M-F,
