Job Description:

Will teach Mathematics courses with an emphasis on courses required for pre-

service elementary teachers. Will advise undergraduate students,

participate in departmental curriculum development, and engage in ongoing

scholarship and professional activities. May teach graduate-level courses

and supervise Honors work and undergraduate research.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Ed.D. degree in Curriculum and Teaching, Mathematics Education (or

equivalent foreign education) plus two (2) years of undergraduate or

graduate-level teaching experience in the field of Mathematics Education.

Special Requirements:

(1)Demonstrated expertise in the use of educational technology, educational

software, and course management systems;

(2)Demonstrated expertise in pedagogical strategies to promote success with

students with a range of mathematical proficiencies;

(3)Demonstrated expertise developing curricula aligned with the “Common

Core State Standards” governing Pre-Kindergarten through 12th Grade

Mathematics education at both the Massachusetts state and Federal levels;

and,

(4)Demonstrated record of leadership in outreach to the PreK-12 community.
