Job Description:
Description: Working under the direction of Development Services Manager 1,
will be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders to develop
learning resources for new hires, transfers and Development hiring
managers within our development organization. Will identify needs and
opportunities to improve processes, guidelines and resources to help entry-level
engineers gain the necessary skills for software and quality engineering
positions. Will work with engineering managers to provide processes and
resources to help consistently and efficiently coach engineers before and
after they’ve transferred into Development. Will help new-hires ramp-up on
Development- wide tools, resources, processes, concepts and terminology. Will
work with all areas of Development to develop and offer resources and
training that new-hires and managers can use to guide their work and assess
progress. Will work with external vendors to develop, deliver and evaluate
related classes, e-Learning and other resources. As a member of the Development University team, will maintain
strong relationships with current external vendors, and conduct vendor
searches for new topics. Will develop communication and change management
plans for rolling out new content and helping Development teams to
leverage it successfully, including developing and reporting on metrics to
track application. Will continuously capture, review, catalog, and
promote user- created documentation and resources related to new hire
learning, including promoting developer-led groups, online communities and networks.
Will develop creative and cutting-edge resources to help development
teams improve their use of standards and processes in coding, testing
and globalization, including solutions like coaching and mentoring,
internal conferences, documentation, e-Learning, social learning events,
social computing, formal instructor-led training, and anything else.
Will evaluate the impact of existing resources with Kirkpatrick (Level 1-4)
evaluations and will provide ongoing support and feedback to new-hires and
transfers to help them be successful, and support organizational goals and
business drivers. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Sciences, Mechanical
Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (willing to accept foreign
education equivalent) and five (5) years of experience in Job Offered or
five (5) years of experience developing classroom training curriculum for
MATLAB and Simulink development. OR Master’s degree in Mathematical Sciences, Mechanical
Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (willing to accept foreign
education equivalent) and no experience. Special Requirements: · Demonstrated expertise performing technical support and
training to deploy MATLAB using C++ and Java, MATLAB Compiler, MEX and
parallel computing. · Demonstrated expertise designing curriculum for MATLAB and
Simulink development using C++ programming. · Demonstrated expertise developing and delivering technical
training content for C++ and Java development. [Expertise may be gained during Graduate program. The MathWorks, Inc. is willing to accept a suitable combination
