Description:

Working under the direction of Development Services Manager 1, will be

responsible for improving skills and practices related to quality

engineering; working with the Development managers and staff to continuously

improve the processes, practices and skills used to develop MathWorks’

products; creating self-serve and instructor-led training, contributing

extensively to change management efforts, leading process improvement

activities, and providing internal consulting and coaching support;

supporting in test plans and procedures, test development, unit testing,

results analysis, testing harnesses and other quality engineering tools and

best practices; combining technical expertise with excellence in verbal and

written communication, creativity, initiative, and resourcefulness in

developing a deep understanding of quality engineering philosophies,

practices and tools at MathWorks, as well as related industry concepts;

working with Senior Quality Engineering leaders to identify high-impact

ideas and best practices; driving the development of new content (e.g.,

processes, methods, learning resources, reference material, prototype tools)

including escalating or resolving key technical and process questions;

guiding internal business partners and cross-functional teams through the

content development process; piloting new content, and assessing against

defined measures of success; facilitating organizational adoption of

approved processes, tools and resources; producing change management plans

and resources that rollout new best practices and help staff members

successfully adopt them; evaluating and reporting on progress against

business drivers; developing creative ways to support the Development

organization's growth and learning; creating self-serve resources; teaching

formal classes, and facilitating informal groups and events; evaluating

impact with Kirkpatrick Level 1-4 evaluations; identifying internal experts

and ensuring key knowledge is captured and shared; cataloguing and promoting

user-created documentation and resources; developing as an internal SME

regarding quality engineering practices, and providing expert consultancy on

an ad hoc as well as more formal basis; and working with managers to develop

and implement curriculums for specific audiences, and define and track

measures of success.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Mathematical Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Computer

Engineering or Computer Science (willing to accept foreign education

equivalent) and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5)

years of experience developing classroom training curriculum for MATLAB and

Simulink development.

OR

Master's degree a in Mathematical Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Computer

Engineering or Computer Science (willing to accept foreign education

equivalent) and no experience.

Special Requirements:

· Demonstrated expertise developing content and delivering technical

training of modeling analysis and control of mechanical systems.

· Demonstrated expertise developing classroom training curriculum for

MATLAB and Simulink development.

· Demonstrated expertise developing, validating and testing numerical

simulation software.
