Job Description:
Description: Working under the direction of Business/Systems Manager 1, the
Senior Data Warehouse Developer/Analyst will serve as an
implementation expert for the Data Warehouse group to conduct
thorough testing of ETL code changes and ensure quality of data
produced; use ETL and SQL tools to transform source data into
target data models; review available source data; map sources to
the target design using Business Objects Data Services; translate
functional and technical specifications and logical data models
into working databases, including relational and dimensional
(star-schema) designs; work on logical and physical data models for
the history-tracking data warehouse and related data marts; work
with the Data Warehouse team to understand analysis and reporting
requirements; support the BI environment, including Business
Objects and Crystal; and develop Data Warehouse development
standards, including ETL standards and best practices. Education and Experience: Master’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Computer
Science, Computer Engineering, or Operations Research and no
experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in
Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Operations Research and
five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of
experience in business intelligence and data warehouse development
including analytical solutions for decision support. Special Requirements: · Demonstrated expertise developing end to end business
intelligence decision support solutions including requirements
gathering, specifications design, systems development in
implementation, and test plan development using ETL tools
(including Informatica or Business Objects Universe Designer), SQL
Scripts, and object oriented programming. · Demonstrated expertise in data warehouse modeling, including
translating user requirements into data models using Embarcadero or
ERWIN, and developing data models incorporating MDM strategies and
data cleansing. · Demonstrated expertise in data warehouse UI development,
including application administration of Business Objects, Crystal,
VB and ASP, includes prototyping of data in Excel/MATLAB during
Mart development. · Demonstrated expertise coding and administration of ETL and
reporting tools within the warehouse. [Experience and/or expertise may be gained during graduate
