Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Engineering Senior Team Lead
3, the Software Engineer will be responsible for designing,
developing, and testing software applications, specifically
designing, developing and documenting MATLAB UI components;
implementing and testing an extensible architecture; leveraging the
latest technologies for GUI design; conducting programming and
debugging in MATLAB and JavaScript; participating in the software
lifecycle, including gathering requirements, designing and
developing specifications, coding and debugging; implementing
features that simplify the GUI building workflow for users in
various domains; applying test driven and agile methodologies to
software development; developing the next generation of MathWorks
interactive UI development environment; and working with internal
and external customers to define requirements, workflows,
priorities, and features. Education and Experience: Master’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in
Engineering Science, Information Technology, Computer Science,
Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering and no experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in
Engineering Science, Information Technology, Computer Science,
Computer Engineering, or Systems Engineering and five (5) years of
experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience in
development or technical support of GUI development for MATLAB
programming. Special Requirements: · Demonstrated expertise writing MATLAB algorithms, developing
MATLAB GUIs, and programming with MATLAB Handle Graphics. · Demonstrated expertise identifying and documenting user
experiences and required functionality enhancement in MATLAB
workflows. · Demonstrated expertise gathering customer requirements and
priorities of features, designing and developing functional
specifications and implementing design plans for new
functionality. · Demonstrated expertise in Object-Oriented design and
