Job Description:

Working under the direction of Quality Engineering Manager 1, will be

responsible for bringing new test automation technology and software testing

strategies into the company; collaborating with Quality Engineering and

Software Development teams to creating and evolving policies, best

practices, and testing frameworks for distributed systems testing; leading

the design and implementation of next generation tooling and infrastructure

for testing web applications and services; developing software test tools

for all aspects of web applications, including user interfaces, performance,

and stress testing, building on existing tools such as Selenium and JMeter;

implementing automated test tools using Java, Perl, JavaScript, and related

technologies; participating in team designing, specification, and code

reviews; identifying and documenting the detailed requirements for testing

system needs and functionality; applying prior experience in testing Web

Services, Software/Platform as a Service (SaaS/PaaS) products, or Cloud-

based products to designing new tools and processes; consulting with product

teams on test strategy and designing; and applying appropriate analysis and

modeling techniques to understand the context and scope of the business

processes/functions and the supporting information systems.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or Computer

Science and no experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering or

Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5)

years of experience in JAVA-based test tool development for web

applications.

Special Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise writing test and build tool algorithms in

JAVA, JavaScript and HTML to support building and QE testing of web-based

applications.

• Demonstrated expertise in development of JAVA web applications and

JAVA based web test and build tools using Selenium and JUnit.

• Demonstrated expertise in web development or web build and test

tool development using Maven in TeamCity build environment, and integration

of build and test tools within a continuous integration environment using

Perl.
