Job Description:
Working under the direction of Usability Senior Team Leader 3,
will be responsible for leading user-centered design activities related
to MathWorks products and/or Web applications; working with development teams
to understand their projects' user-centered design requirements,
and developing creative solutions for meeting those needs; making
recommendations to team members about which usability methods to use to answer their
questions about users and design directions based on projects' needs, goals and
constraints; working closely with team members to conduct user research,
identify pain points, developing user profiles and creating task lists;
contributing to requirements and design documents; helping the development team
follow a user-centered design approach as you work collaboratively to
brainstorm and design innovative solutions to complex problems; collaborating
on paper and functional prototypes; running usability tests, conducting
interviews and site visits, organizing surveys, and performing other usability
assessments; and helping the team interpreting and understanding user
feedback, and providing input for design decisions based on that feedback. Education and Experience: Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Cognitive
Psychology, Applied Psychology, or Human Factors in Information Design and
no experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Cognitive
Psychology, Applied Psychology, or Human Factors in Information Design and
five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of
experience in usability engineering or function point analysis. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise performing Function Point Analysis to
analyze and improve feature functionality. • Demonstrated expertise performing data science research or
data science analysis, specifically developing and maintaining
business intelligence reports, including transformation of data into
graphical representation. • Demonstrated expertise in user-centered design activities,
including conducting usability tests on software/web products and
