Job Description:

Working under the direction of Application Engineering Senior Team Leader 3,

will be responsible for demonstrating knowledge during sales meetings,

conference calls, through the delivery of public seminars, and in the

development of complex product demonstrations; assisting sales personnel in

managing the technical aspects of the sales process directed primarily at

customers, involving financial and insurance applications; providing

technical pre-sales support and guidance to MathWorks North American Sales

Organization; assisting the salesperson in understanding and synthesizing

customer requirements and explaining the features and capabilities of

products relative to the customer's specific needs; preparing and delivering

product presentations to customers and prospects, including live

demonstrations of MATLAB, the MATLAB Compiler, advanced mathematical

toolboxes and related products; developing demonstration programs,

application examples, and simulations; analyzing users' problems to

recommend and demonstrate the best computational approach; and assisting

customers with the use of MATLAB programs directed at solving specific

problems. Requires frequent travel and on short notice.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering, Computer

Science, Mathematics, Business or Finance and four (4) years of experience

in job offered or four (4) years of experience in development or training of

functionality of asset management, trading, and risk management quantitative

modeling tools.

Special Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise writing and implementing pricing algorithms

and models for Equity or Interest Rates Derivatives; and risk measures --

Value-at-Risk, Alpha, Beta, Gamma and Rho -- within financial trading or

risk modeling systems using MATLAB, Excel/VBA, Object Oriented programming,

and Unix scripting languages.

• Demonstrated expertise developing production and risk management

reporting tools, including designing, implementing and managing risk

processes and workflows of Economic Capital calculations for aggregated

portfolios, as well as market and non-market risks.

• Demonstrated expertise developing and delivering presentations and

training workshops on quantitative modeling in risk management using VBA,

C++, RiskWatch, and ARA.

• Demonstrated expertise performing predictive modeling and producing

risk score using neural networks, random forest and generalized linear

models to identify target clients for financial products.

Position reports to Natick, Massachusetts headquarters. Any qualified U.S.

worker will be permitted to work out of a home office within close proximity

to any major US airport in the Northeast region of the United States.
