Description:

Senior Network Engineer for Wayfair LLC in Boston, MA to participate in management of communications infrastructure underpinning large-scale Internet e-commerce platform and corporate applications. Coordinate and define network requirements for designing, configuration, and installation. Manage and grow global production network, administer enterprise wired and wireless network; improve internal security event management infrastructure. Develop and maintain our next-generation monitoring platform based on agents and synthetic transactions. Serve as escalation point for complex network issues; troubleshoot communications issues arising between systems or applications; mentor/teach junior team members.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, Networking or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) as well as 6 years in network engineering with focus on design and large scale networks.

Special Skills Required:

· Demonstrated expertise in ISP (specifically CISCO IOS).

· Demonstrated expertise in TCP/IP.

· Demonstrated expertise working on high-level project plans with different business drivers, addressing ambiguities in requested requirements, and bringing to completion.
