Job Description:

Working under the direction of the Engineering Senior Team Leader 4, will be

responsible for contributing to the design, specification, development, and

testing of financial modeling and analysis tools for the Risk Management

area; working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of programmers,

scientists, engineers and marketing professionals to understand customer

needs, and then translating those needs into effective product designs;

creating visualization tools to assess risk in the Risk Management and

Finance industries; and leading the development of downstream products

customized for specialist use within that discipline.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Engineering, Computer

Science, Theoretical and Applied Mechanics or Fluid Mechanics and no

experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign educational equivalent) in Engineering,

Computer Science, Theoretical and Applied Mechanics or Fluid Mechanics and

five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience

developing modeling tools with embedded Applied Mathematics, Statistics and

Partial Differential Equations functionality.

Special Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise programming in MATLAB.

• Demonstrated expertise writing algorithms using Finite Differences

to solve and model partial differential equations.

• Demonstrated expertise developing statistical algorithms for

automated and manual data binning and designing visualization tools to

display data binning results.

• Demonstrated expertise in development or technical support of

functionality of MATLAB’s Computational Finance Toolboxes: Financial Toolbox

and Financial Instruments Toolbox, and Datafeed Toolbox or Econometrics

Toolbox.
