Job Description:
Working under the direction of Quality Engineering Manager 1,
will be responsible for developing and enhancing test tools, testing
infrastructure, and automated and manual test suites for improving the quality
of MATLAB Help System both - in the product and on the Web; participating
on projects from the early stages through final release; working closely
with counterparts in the Development, Documentation, and Technical
Support departments; designing and developing test plans/procedures
based upon functional and design specifications; participating in
functional specification, test specification, documentation, and code
reviews; creating and maintaining automated and manual test suites; participating
actively in functional, system, and regression testing activities; analyzing
reported bugs and working with software engineers and managers to resolve
bugs; and participating in and initiating Root Cause Analysis to drive
continuous process improvement. Education and Experience: Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Systems or
Mathematics and no experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Systems or
Mathematics and five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of
experience in development or integrated test suite development of Java
applications. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise testing code across multiple platforms
using VMWare and using ClearCase, Perforce or CVS for source
control. • Demonstrated expertise in UI development or testing using
JavaSwing. • Demonstrated expertise writing automated Java tests using
Junit. • Demonstrated expertise developing Java applications using
