Job Description:
Working under the direction of Engineering Senior Team Leader 4,
will be responsible for building new features of the MATLAB language to
help technical application developers in their work; working as part
of a team responsible for the MATLAB object system and for developing new
MATLAB serialization and data persistence interfaces; developing new
ways to save and access scientific and engineering data; gathering
requirements, designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining new language
features and interfaces; supporting application authors and their needs for
new MATLAB language features, working closely with Quality Engineering to
develop testing strategies for new features, and working with user
experience specialists to conduct usability sessions with MATLAB-based
systems end users. Education and Experience: Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology and no
experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology and five (5) years of
experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience in development or
technical support of MATLAB language and toolboxes. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise in Object-Oriented programming and
design patterns using C++ and MATLAB, and template meta programming
using C++11 and C++14. • Demonstrated expertise debugging and profiling C++ code on
Windows and Linux systems using debugging and profiling tools including
GDB, and using multi-threaded applications and interfaces implemented in
multiple languages -- C++, Java and MATLAB. • Demonstrated expertise using MATLAB Class Systems, C++ APIs,
and design patterns to refactor existing architecture and to develop
