Job Description:

Database Administrator II (Boston, Massachusetts) [Multiple Positions]

Duties: Will help manage and grow database infrastructure supporting large-

scale Internet e-commerce platform, call center, and corporate

applications. Liaise with development and business teams to resolve

database requests; serve as technical expert in SQL Server technologies;

manage data storage ecosystem covering SQL Server, MySQL, and various NoSQL

solutions; manage and monitor SLAs for uptime and performance of SQL Server

databases; troubleshoot database issues arising between systems or

applications; and identify potential areas for automation or improvement.

Requirements: Master's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer

Science, Engineering or related field (willing to accept foreign education

equivalent) plus 3 years of experience as a database administrator or a

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience as stated above. Experience

must include: demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and tuning SQL

Server replication; demonstrated expertise in scripting using Transact SQL

and PowerShell; demonstrated expertise in performance tuning for MSSQL; and

demonstrated expertise with relational database design and concepts.
