Job Description:
Working under the direction of IT Project Manager 1, will be
responsible for supporting the planning, prioritization, and coordination
of strategic MathWorks IT projects; participating in strategy and
planning, including defining project scopes, goals, deliverables, and
required resources in collaboration with managers, technical leaders,
and stakeholders; communicating project expectations and success
criteria to team members and stakeholders; liaising with project
stakeholders on an ongoing basis; determining the frequency and content of project
status updates; planning, scheduling, and tracking project
timelines, milestones, and deliverables; conducting project retrospectives
and creating recommendations report in order to identify successful
and unsuccessful project elements; improving and developing best
practices and tools for project execution and management, identifying and
managing project dependencies and critical paths; identifying and
resolving issues and conflicts within the project team; developing and
delivering proposals, requirements documentation, presentations, and
status updates; proactively managing changes in project scope,
identifying potential risks, and devising contingency plans; and developing
business relationships vital to the success of projects. Education and Experience: Master's degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent)
in Engineering or Computer Science and no experience. OR Bachelor's degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of experience in job offered
or five (5) years of experience project managing enterprise-wide,
high availability, information technology infrastructure, development
and migration projects. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise project managing the migration of
core, high availability IT or telecommunication applications and
systems -- servers, desktops, phones, and disaster recovery sites for
enterprise- wide projects of 1,000+ sites or users. • Demonstrated expertise process mapping and developing
program charters, pilot/project plans, communications plans, schedules
and cost reports using Workfront or Microsoft Project; developing and
delivering project proposals, budget estimates, timelines/milestones and
plan reports to senior executives/stakeholders. • Demonstrated expertise project managing enterprise-wide information technology migration projects including development
of disaster recovery plan, escalation protocols, and contingency
