Description: Working under the direction of the Business/Systems Manager 1,
will be responsible for building web applications using Ruby, HTML,
CSS, JavaScript, and/or AJAX technologies; stretching design,
business, and project management skills; collaborating with Designers,
Quality Engineers, User Experience, Project Managers and application
owners to create high quality web applications; balancing multiple
development projects and working with cross-functional teams through all
phases of development; performing the analysis, design and development for
the web applications while working with a technically diverse, high
performing and collaborative team; developing and improving MathWorks
Licensing applications; analyzing business model changes to determine
system implications; working with cross functional team to create
requirements; creating technical specifications and designs; collaborating
with User Experience and Designers to develop workflows and page designs;
and working with the quality team to ensure test cases and plans
are appropriately developed and adhered to. Education and Experience: Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems and no
experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer
Science, Engineering or Information Systems and five (5) years of
experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience in full stack MVC
web application development. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise in planning, documenting, developing
and unit testing dynamic web applications, according to MVC
frameworks, using Ruby on Rails or Java; and using HTML, CSS, and
JQuery. • Demonstrated expertise developing modular and scalable web application interfaces for external Java web services; and
applying data structures for web application code optimization and code reuse
using Ruby gems or Java APIs. • Demonstrated expertise in MATLAB Distributed Computing
Server (MDCS) configuration, setup and troubleshooting. • Demonstrated expertise writing object oriented database
queries using Active Record and SQL query scripts on MSSQL and MySQL
