Description:

Working under the direction of the Engineering Senior Team Leader 3,

will be responsible for user interface design for the MATLAB Desktop

development team; designing and implementing new features, such as: File

management, Source control integration and MATLAB path management;

performing GUI development using Java/Swing, JavaScript/HTML5/CSS, or

related technologies; gathering, designing, coding and debugging well-

architected software; handling a major role advancing the user

experience of products by creating new graphical interfaces as well as

the supporting infrastructure; working with internal and external

customers in defining requirements, workflows, priorities, and features;

collaborating with other development teams and creatively invent new

solutions; and designing and implementing high-quality software systems.

Education and Experience:

Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in

Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Aeronautics and

Astronautics, or Information Technology and no experience.

OR

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Engineering,

Computer Science, Mathematics, Aeronautics and Astronautics, or

Information Technology and five (5) years of experience in job offered

or five (5) years of experience in development or testing MATLAB online

desktop and file system user interface UI development.

Special Requirements:

• Demonstrated expertise developing UI applications using object

oriented programming and analysis, design patterns, and software

architecture, according to Agile methodologies.

• Demonstrated expertise programming and debugging JAVA and web

technologies using HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

• Demonstrated expertise writing automated unit tests in DOH and

QUnit, and system level integration tests for UI components.
