Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Engineering Manager 1, will
be responsible for creating state-of-the-art report generation
tools for the MATLAB and Simulink programming environment; designing
and implementing features of a ground-breaking new report generator
capable of producing richly formatted Microsoft Word, HTML, and PDF
reports from MATLAB and Simulink models; increasing the performance,
scalability, and usability of tools, enabling scientists and engineers around the
world to publish their results in elegantly formatted reports;
designing and implementing major new features of report generation tools
and maintaining existing features; taking designs all the way from
concept to completion; and designing, coding, documenting and
communicating ideas. Education and Experience: Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent)
in Engineering, Computer Science or Physics and no experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science or Physics and five (5) years of experience in
the job offered or five (5) years of experience developing report
generator modules or tools to document Simulink modeling. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise in GUI design and development, and
back- end algorithm development, using MATLAB. • Demonstrated expertise in report generation using XML and
XSL files for conversion into HTML, DOCX/OOXML, and PDF formats and
applying styles in each output format. • Demonstrated expertise developing technical or system
design documentation using MATLAB, APIs or MATLAB Reports Generator to
document MATLAB and Simulink modeling. • Demonstrated expertise in object oriented design and
analysis using design patterns; and programming in C++, MATLAB, JAVA
