Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Development Applications
Engineer - Senior Team Lead 3, will be responsible for performing
software development as part of a fast-paced, dynamic software
development team that is constantly solving new and challenging problems;
developing several client, server, and web-based applications that are the
backbone of a development process that is continuously evolving
MathWorks applications; participating in the design, implementation, and
unit testing clients server applications and databases relevant to
MathWorks internal Development process; and redesigning portions of
applications to meet new requirements, for ease of maintenance and to
enhance existing applications using modern software technologies. Education and Experience: Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent)
in Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and no
experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems and five (5) years
of experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience in
end-to-end Java-based application development. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise developing highly scalable Java/J2EE/Spring web applications using HTML, CSS, and
JavaScript; developing server-based applications using Apache and Tomcat;
and creating and consuming RESTful Java web services. • Demonstrated expertise writing object-oriented database
queries using SQL query scripts, MySQL, and Apache Accumulo databases
to extract, manipulate, and save data. • Demonstrated expertise in object-oriented programming; and performing version control using Perforce and build and
release management using GIT and Maven. • Demonstrated expertise developing applications along the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) according to scrum-based
