Job Description:
Working under the direction of the Engineering Technical Writing
Manager, will be responsible for writing technical documentation and developing technical examples to teach
engineers and scientists how to use sophisticated software to model, simulate, and generate code for dynamic and
embedded systems; developing user-focused documentation including examples, tutorials, conceptual topics,
and reference material; collaborating with team members to plan, research, write, and update documentation;
participating in the software development process to review software requirements and functional designs, and suggest
improvements; and interacting with users to research information needs for applying MathWorks tools. Education and Experience: Master’s degree or higher (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and no experience. OR Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of
experience in job offered or five (5) years of experience in development or
technical writing of simulation software. Special Requirements: • Demonstrated expertise in design, development or testing of
simulation software using C/C++ or C#. • Demonstrated expertise in object oriented programming in C/C++
or C#; and in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, functional
design, architecture design, implementation, and testing. • Demonstrated expertise in technical writing or teaching of
C/C++ programming language. • Demonstrated expertise developing and presenting user
