Job Description:
Duties: The Portfolio Associate is responsible for
implementation of quantitative portfolio management for the managed account
service for work place savings (Portfolio Advisory Service at Work) and for
non- discretionary guidance tool for both work place savings and
personal investing (Portfolio Review). Will work closely with the
Portfolio Manager and the investment team, actively contributing to all aspects of
the investment process, utilizing quantitative investment
methodology. Will own the day-to-day portfolio management process of model
portfolio construction from beginning to end, including building model
portfolios, performing comprehensive model analytics analysis, supervising
the model release process and resolving associated issues. Primary responsibilities • Work closely with the PM team, Data Strategy team, and
technology group within the Global Asset Allocation Division, and other
parts of Fidelity in the Personal and Workplace Investing Services (PWIS)
to constantly enhance the existing process. • Monitor portfolio performance, positioning, risk metrics etc.
to ensure alignment with investment methodology and processes. • Work closely with the portfolio manager, the quantitative team
and other investment staff to continuously refine and improve the
quantitative investment methodology and associated policies, through
investment analysis projects. • Provide direction and guidance to the systems group as the
part of continuing development of existing systematic processes. • Function as the liaison between the portfolio manager,
investment operations, product development, and the distribution channels
in monitoring portfolio re-allocations, new plan implementations,
and plan option changes. • Ad hoc reporting and analysis, in areas such portfolio
attribution, plan sponsor participant data analysis, and industry performance
analysis. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,
Management Information Systems, Engineering, Math or Physics (willing to
accept foreign education equivalent) as well as 5 years of experience
in the job offered or 5 years of experience in quantitative portfolio
management systems analysis or engineering within an asset management
environment. Experience must include: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) writing
quadratic optimization functions using IBM iLog Cplex optimization
libraries and multifactor linear regression models using Java and SAS; DE
writing SQL and PL SQL queries and using Hyperion Interactive Reporting Studio
to access data for performance analysis within an Oracle database
environment; DE performing quantitative portfolio construction application
development using Shell scripting, PL/SQL, SQL (Oracle and Sybase) and SAS
programming languages on a UNIX operating system platform; DE working with
