Job Description:
Duties: Will work seamlessly with highly skilled, deeply
technical development team to develop valid test approaches and
scenarios. Primary Responsibilities: • Perform independent analysis and identify impacts to
technology partners due to enhancements/changes early in the development
life cycle. • Design automated regression test suite suitable to measure
data quality and report defects as appropriate. • Remain highly productive in waterfall and agile project
delivery environments. • Interact with technically oriented database architects,
data modelers, database administrators and database developers. • Review requirements/design documentation, data models and
implement comprehensive test plans covering these materials. • Document all defects in HP Quality Center and implement traceability between test cases and requirement
documentation. • Lead Test strategy, Test plan, Test case and Defect review
meetings with Business analysts, Developers and Fellow QA team
members. • Detect scope changes and escalate issues, multi-task
across multiple project efforts simultaneously. • Proactively communicate with developers and business analysts
to resolve issues or questions pertaining to test creation or
execution. • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, Relationship building/relationship management and facilitation skills.
Implement traceability between test cases and requirement
documentation. • Work closely with QA Automation Engineer to identify test
cases conductive to automation. • Provide manager with timely and accurate status reporting
including issues prohibiting progress when appropriate. • Implement Automation as applicable to reduce functional
testing effort. • Work in close coordination with the offshore team and provide
them with required guidance to scale them up in terms of both
technical capabilities and domain knowledge. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,
Engineering, Math or Physics (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) as well
as five (5) years of experience in job offered or five (5) years of
experience in Oracle database test automation within an asset management
environment. Experience must include: Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) writing
SQL queries or stored procedures for functional and regression testing using
Toad, SQL navigator and SQL developer; DE writing SQL queries and Excel
macros to compare multiple database tables to improve efficiency through
automation; DE applying Agile methodologies to the product development
lifecycle by requirements gathering, data analysis, and test validation;
Design automated regression test suite using oracle pl/sql and Shell
