Job Description:

Credit Analyst to be responsible for independently analyzing the

macroeconomic outlook of the US and Europe with a focus on fixed income

analysis of government treasuries, corporate bonds, and the credit

worthiness of distressed companies and major financial/banking

institutions. Will develop and present investment recommendations to

portfolio managers to support investment decisions for the portfolio. Will

work to evaluate the risk of the investment portfolio and will share this

knowledge with the portfolio managers to ultimately contribute to the

firm’s profits. Specific duties include:

* Developing new trade recommendations with portfolio managers.

* Utilizing expertise in the US and European corporate debt markets to

independently evaluate the banking sector, distressed companies, companies

in bankruptcy, and companies with complex capital structures.

* Analyzing financial statements of companies for new investments.

* Analyzing indentures of securities and create models to value them.

* Performing interest rate analysis.

* Identifying investment opportunities in the US and European corporate

debt markets and directly contribute to the firm’s investment decisions.

* Forecasting future earnings, loan losses, default probabilities, and

credit worthiness of major banks using market inputs.

* Analyzing global macroeconomic outlook, including new financial

regulations and accounting rules in the US and Europe, to evaluate risk to

the investment portfolio.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Mathematics,

Finance, or Economics and five (5) years experience in Job Offered or five

(5) years experience developing and implementing proprietary trading

strategies within an asset management or hedge fund environment.

OR

Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Mathematics, Finance,

or Economics and one (1) year experience in Job Offered or one (1) year

experience developing and implementing proprietary trading strategies

within an asset management or hedge fund environments.

Special Requirements:

* Demonstrated expertise analyzing corporate debt, including distressed

company assets and the financial sector.

* Demonstrated expertise analyzing and recommending fixed income investment

and trading strategies, including analysis of macroeconomic and interest

rate policy.

* Demonstrated expertise developing analytical and pricing models -- cash

flow, term structure and yield curve -- in Excel.

* Demonstrated expertise in fixed income analysis, including modeling

valuations of fixed income and debt securities, including analysis of

interest rate and credit risk within a hedged portfolio environment.
