Position Description: Global Asset Allocation Division (GAAD) provides discretionary
and non- discretionary investment management services through Fidelity’s
retail and institutional distribution channels. The main objective of
GAAD’s Planning decision and support group (PDnS) is to manage a portfolio of
business and technology projects to efficiently and effectively achieve a set
of business objectives that aligns with GAAD’s goals. In addition,
the group is responsible for business analysis, either in support of
technology, business initiatives or in response to ad hoc complex data and
business analysis requests. Projects will generally require coordination
across investment management, technology, research, operations, legal
and distribution channels. The Senior Project Manager will utilize
a combination of technology and business program management
skills, facilitation and influence skills, and a working knowledge of
investment methods and processes, as well as the managed account
marketplace. Primary Responsibilities: • Program Management and Business Analysis o Program manage a super-six (one of largest and highest
business impact programs at Fidelity), Fidelity Personalized Portfolios
for the GAAD program office and coordinate key stakeholders across business
groups. o Coordinate working teams, with technology and business,
develop project plans, issues, and lists and ensure that decisions are
made and deliverables are on time. o Manage competing priorities and tight timelines while
providing direction to a broader team. o Work on business analysis for specific technology and
business project components as needed/appropriate. • Relationship Management o Identify and develop efficient working relationships with
key business partners in a cross-functional organization. o Understand, acknowledge, analyze and document conflicting
needs of business partners and provide appropriate information for
understanding and commitment to a project. o Address project issues with key decision makers and
provide suggestions and solutions. • Investment Management, Quantitative Research and Model
Based Portfolio Management Process o Utilize cross-functional technology and business background
and experience to serve as the subject matter expert for programs in
the Investment Management product space. o Utilize knowledge of key investment concepts, current
technical capabilities and work across the department to develop a
comprehensive multi-year product management roadmap to support future
needs. o Establish familiarity with various operational and
technical systems for key functions of department. o Provide program management leadership for a super-six
company initiative o Lead business analysis initiatives for complex business
systems o Collaborate with stakeholders to drive the platform strategy
and deliverables Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering,
Computer Science, Math, Physics (willing to accept foreign education
equivalent) as well as 5 years experience in job offered or 5 years experience
in program and project management of investment management product
development and launch. Also requires experience with: Demonstrated Expertise
(DE) in managing product development projects and launching managed
account products, including developing quantitative capacity models for
business analysis within a quantitative research or portfolio
management environment; DE in business process re-engineering for risk and
performance enhancement, applying advanced business analysis methodologies
(data flow diagrams, case flow diagrams, and process flow diagrams); DE in
Business Intelligence development and relational data mining and analysis
using Hyperion, SQL and TIBCO Spotfire. Fidelity Investments is
