Job Description:
Duties: • Manage individual client portfolios consistent with
Strategic Advisers' investment philosophy and the unique portfolio
parameters and objectives of each client account. • Generate superior after-tax returns using various tax
management strategies and risk tools. • Perform portfolio analysis using proprietary and
non-proprietary software and use the results to further enhance the returns of
the portfolios. • Review and thoroughly understand internal analyst research
on individual securities and mutual funds to incorporate into
investment decisions. Gain full understanding of our portfolio construction
process as well as keep fluent in all market and fund analyst research. • Monitor and carry out fiduciary responsibilities. • Formulate and implement investment strategies based on
dynamic market movements, tax code changes, trading, systems
enhancements, investment choices, etc. • Present FPP/PPS investment process to internal and
external audiences • Help develop investment policy and product integration to a
more comprehensive UMA/UMH product. • Work with multiple business partners to achieve desired
outcome of superior after tax investment product. • Analyze production results for improvements to the current
process, and assist in implementing better methods. • Develop oversight reporting for fund ownership limits, cash
flows, year end distributions and concentration concerns. • Produce monthly fund universe research packages providing performance, rating, exposure and fund characteristic
information. • Construct and circulate monthly performance and
attribution reporting and commentary across the various tax management
strategies and within individual asset classes. • Manage the investment universe classification process
through liasing with the SAI reasearch and data management teams to
define and maintain individual fund, stock and bond classifications. • Support the research and management of individual secondary
asset classes including Small and Mid Cap. Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Finance,
Economics, or Business Information Systems (willing to accept foreign
education equivalent) as well as 4 years of experience in Job Offered or 4
years of experience in data and business analysis of fund financial data.
Also requires experience with: Demonstrated experience (DE) applying
performance methodologies including time-weighted, money-weighted and
after-tax calculations along with asset and log weighted composite
construction to align with the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS);
DE applying multiple attribution methodologies, including Brinson Fachler,
to multi- asset class portfolios; DE in data querying, analysis and
presentation techniques including the development of Excel Macros leveraging
Oracle and Sybase databases and connecting to third party data vendors
including Bloomberg, Factset and Morningstar Direct. Fidelity Investments
