Job Description:
Position Description: Will lead important initiatives in Fidelity’s institutional
investing business. Will bring Fidelity’s institutional client base of
investment professionals, brokers and advisors into the design process to
understand their highly transactional workflows and complex trading,
reporting and portfolio management needs. Will utilize an understanding of the
needs of the investment professional, as well as the needs of their
clients, to design superior user experiences into the web-based applications
that will enable them to grow their businesses. Primary Responsibilities: • Set the standard for a exceptional customer experience for
all institutional investing products, and guide a cross-functional
team toward a standard of excellence. • Collaborate with a team of information architects, visual
designers, editors, prototypers, researchers and usability specialists to
tackle complex projects of varying size. • Serve as the client's primary point of contact with the design
team and the overall user experience design process, and lead the process
of translating their requirements into an outstanding experience
for the users. • Ensure design team efforts are in sync with the client's
business goals, expectations and budget. • Develop user personas, scenarios and user experience success
metrics; conduct all of the necessary user research needed in the
process. • Conduct comparative/competitive analyses of web functions and
interaction methods • Create and document site/application information and
interaction designs, including rich internet application behaviors. • Create context diagrams, site maps, wireframes and task-flow
diagrams. • Work closely with Fidelity’s usability team to test and refine
designs and prototypes. • Partner with Fidelity’s development team to ensure technical
feasibility and flawless implementation. Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial
Design, Interactive Design, or Graphic Design (willing to accept foreign
education equivalent) as well as 5 years experience in job offered or 5
years experience in digital user experience web design. Also requires
experience with: Demonstrated expertise in designing the information
architecture for complex B-to-B and B-to-C co-branded or re-branded web
applications or sites in the banking and financial services industries;
Demonstrated expertise in leading contextual user research projects to
develop user personas, scenarios, and experience-success metrics;
Demonstrated expertise in designing rich internet applications using Flex. Fidelity
