Job Description:
The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. (Boston, MA) Position: Decision Support Project Leader Duties: Support BCG’s worldwide finance function by leading
critical processes related to BCG’s Partner compensation and equity
system including human resources transactions, Partner evaluation and
compensation, and the annual revenue credit process. Specific duties include: support
Partner transactions such as outside hires, departures, transfers, and
sabbaticals by developing compensation and equity estimates based on
performance, tracking schedules, and recommending changes for process
improvement; provide project support for the annual Partner evaluation
process as well as analytical support for requests including the analysis of
Partner Feedback Survey data, analysis of Partner revenues by level,
office, and geography, and analysis of total compensation across all levels;
provide the Partner Performance Committee with analyses on
recommendations for awards to Partners in non-client service roles, calibration of
awards, and policy conflicts; and lead the annual revenue credit process for
Partners by ensuring that the process functions properly, providing
training to the revenue credit coordinators, and communicating status of
completion to Partners and Partner Development committees. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration,
Economics, Finance or related field (willing to accept foreign education
equivalent) as well as five years of experience in job offered or five years
of experience in a financial analyst, budget analyst, or accounting
role. Also requires experience with: analyzing and measuring a
professional services firm’s economic performance using performance metrics
(e.g., price realization, margin, leverage, cost ratios, utilization) and
then relate firm performance to employee performance (e.g., revenue/sales,
feedback scores, teaming); performing various analyses including
compensation forecasting based on multiple dynamic variables, scenario
analysis to model impact of change on a program or process, and decision support
analysis to predict impact of change on employee behavior; developing and
managing cross-functional, multi-project processes with a focus on
problem diagnosis, solution development, data source consolidation,
project management, and change implementation; and performing data
mining and database report writing utilizing business objects, monarch,
pivot tables, and complex formulas including nested if statements, lookups,
