Job Description:
Creates predictive models to improve revenue for fixed income
businesses. Streamlines processes and tests new ideas by building
tools, prototypes, and simulation engines. Analyzes and manipulates
large data sets, using Python, PyTorch, Kafka, and KDB/Q. Builds
models to assess fair prices of fixed income instruments, balance
risk, and predict client demands. Presents the results of
mathematical modeling and data analysis to management or end users.
Formulates mathematical and simulation models of problems --
relating constants and variables, restrictions, alternatives,
conflicting objectives, and their numerical parameters. Primary Responsibilities: Improves client trading strategies. Educates clients on market structures and trading tools. Consults with clients to problem solve outstanding issues. Utilizes data science, machine learning, and analytical concepts
to build narratives. Crafts predictive models to improve revenues for fixed income
business clients. Performs validation and testing of models to ensure adequacy and
reformulate models as necessary. Analyzes information obtained from management to conceptualize
and define operational problems. Defines data requirements, gathers and validates information,
and applies judgment and statistical tests. Designs, conducts, and evaluates experimental operational models
in cases where models cannot be developed from existing data. Troubleshoots issues with computer applications or systems. Analyzes data to identify trends or relationships among
variables. Evaluates data quality. Documents operational activities. Determines appropriate methods for data analysis. Directs deployment of machine learning models through the
production cycle. Education and Experience: Masters degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Statistics,
Economics, Computational Finance, Engineering, Computer Science,
Applied Mathematics, Mathematics, or a closely related field and
four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years
of experience performing data mining using non-parametric
statistical techniques. Or, alternatively, a Doctorate of Philosophy (PhD) in
Statistics, Economics, Computational Finance, Engineering, Computer
Science, Applied Mathematics, Mathematics or a closely related
field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1)
year of experience performing data mining using non-parametric
statistical techniques. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: Demonstrated Expertise (DE) performing advanced statistical
analytics to develop, analyze, and evaluate supervised and
unsupervised machine learning algorithms -- Regression, Decision
Trees/Random Forest, Neural Networks, Feature Selection/Reduction,
Clustering, Hyper-Parameter tuning, mixture modeling using Python,
R, Tensorflow, and Pytorch with specific use cases on recommender
systems within financial investment domain. DE performing data resample and clustering analysis using
non-parametric statistical techniques -- bootstrapping and
hierarchical clustering methods; and performing linear modelling --
logistic regression and gamma regression, generalized additive
models, and mixture modeling -- using advanced statistical
applications including, R, Python, Matlab, and ArcGIS. DE developing non-parametric statistical time series analysis,
multiscale statistical signal processing, and probabilistic
graphical modeling of financial data, using R and CVX (an extension
of Matlab software for convex programming). DE performing data process design, data randomization, model
performance evaluation, and optimization, using Matlab, Python, and
R. For full job details and to apply, please visit
